A small private school relocating to an abandoned farm complex
needed a thoughtful and fiscally restrained plan. The building
was reconstructed at a cost of $55 per square foot (1992)
while retaining the nice detailing of the original building.
We worked closely with the client to organize the project,
create accessibility, and outfit the building. The new school
was designed and planned to accommodate expansion easily.
The project was completed on a tight time line: from
start of design to occupancy took eight months. The success
of this portion of the work has encouraged further support
to enable subsequent work to proceed
